How worried should we be about a second Civil War breaking out in Trump’s America?

New RawStory article by Richard F Miller

(((Miller))) is a 66 year old Harvard author with very few reviews on his books.

“A new arena in our burgeoning political circus has opened in the form of short-take political commentary: American Civil War, 2.0. Not restricted to 4chan, alt-left or alt-right, it grows instead from the fever swamps of what was once called the respectable middle. Examples of these predictions can be found herehere and here.  And one knows it’s “a thing” when Twitter features a parody hash tag, #SecondCivilWar.

Few of these forecasters see a repeat of our last civil war. No attacks on a Fort Sumter followed by militia mobilization and hot war between rival governments. Most writers wisely modify Civil War 2.0 with adjectives such as “soft” or “cold” or other words short of “lethal.” But most articles do share a gist: The differences between so-called “Red” and “Blue” America are now irreconcilable, traditional political remedies that once peaceably managed conflict are irretrievably broken, and thus, a separation of some sort is, or will soon, be necessary. And if necessity can be made a virtue, it will be somehow peacefully managed…”

As with many of these types of articles we’ve seen lately, the establishment p.c. author then goes on to say that he believes the good ship Titanic is too big to sink and will miss the iceberg. In fact, here is a list of civil war precursors he mentions:

“Real civil wars have a pattern. One or more consequential constituencies,

● Have grievances decades or even centuries in the making that they believe are existential; and,

Hold up, where has this douchebag been for the whole ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement? To blacks, centuries of slavery, followed by Jim Crow laws, followed by irredeemably institutionalized racism. For Hispanics, La Reconquista de Aztlan to take back the land they lost in the Mexican-American War and the Gadsden Purchase. For Whites, demographic replacement and looming minority status. All three are pretty existential and pretty long in coming; longer in coming than the civil wars we had in 1775 and 1861, certainly.

● They cease believing that the current power structure offers redress of such grievances; and,

So, can Whites vote our way out of the existential crisis of becoming a minority race? Do blacks or Mexicans trust the government? Don’t they both see the United States government as being their historical oppressor and enemy? In fact, don’t ALL of us?

● They have the material capacity, sometimes with the help of self-interested third parties, to inflict sustained violence on opposing constituencies; and,

If anti-Whites weren’t afraid of our material capacity to inflict sustained violence on opposed constituencies, they wouldn’t be so desperately pushing for more gun control. If they didn’t think we could receive help from self-interested third parties, they wouldn’t be scapegoating Russia for election interference and trying to reignite the Cold War through false patriotism to confuse CivNat Tories.

● They possess in sufficient mass the will and organization to inflict this violence as well as absorb the inevitable counterattacks.

Granted, but we’re working on it, and we may be closer than this polly-anna dipshit thinks. Especially if idiots like him keep giving us reasons to get riled up by telling us that we can’t or won’t do something…such as fight back. We’re ornery that way.

“I may be wrong, but there’s nothing in this list that screams, “America, 2018.”…”

Okay. How about 2025? That good for ya?
