On Saturday, November 24th, 2018, a cohort of the ShieldWall Network Phalanx held multiple flash rallies and literature drops throughout western Arkansas. The most public and visible of these took place alongside a busy intersection stop light on Garrison street in Fort Smith, one of the most traveled avenues in the city of 88,000 on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border, just at the fringe of Ozarkia.
Five different sites in the 70% White city were visited, which gave the White Nationalist preppers an opportunity to interact with many local citizens. In addition to a lot of honks and thumbs up, some spectators approached the standing demonstrators attracted by the large “Diversity Equals White Genocide” banner, along with the other signs and flags and SWN shields, to ask questions and request more information. Others photographed and videoed the flash rally, posting their surprised comments on facebook, twitter, and other social media.
ShieldWall Network literature was also distributed in the towns of Atkins, Morrilton, and Ozark. Participants enjoyed a nice meal together to socialize, and toured the Fort Smith National Historic park as well as the Heavener Runestone Park in Oklahoma, where they had the opportunity to meet several new people from the Sooner state before touring the exhibits and hiking the trails there. As sundown approached a meeting was held to plan upcoming SWN events and meetings for next month, and every participant received a souvenir copy of ShieldWall Network Coordinator Billy Roper’s book ‘Glome’s Saga’, a historical fiction novel about the origin of the Heavener runestone. A copy was also presented to the museum gift shop there, in honor of their efforts to maintain the site.
