I know I’ve made this point before, but it has to be made one more time because it ties in with what follows. The ANC, EFF and other black political parties tell their voters whites stole everything from the blacks. For the most part, this is NOT true. When they didn’t buy it (because sometimes they did), just about the only thing whites took at gunpoint was land- and that happened over a period from the 1820s until the 1930s or so, under the British imperial administration. When the Group Areas Act kicked in, the Apartheid government did indeed forcefully remove blacks and other race groups from places which fell in “white areas” during the 1960s. However, the government razed the evacuated structures to the ground, after which the land was sold to real estate firms or whoever had money to develop it. In effect, after the government had confiscated land, White people bought it and built their homes (with the help of bank loans, not government subsidies), and did not just move into what the blacks, coloureds or Asians had inhabited until their removal. The same thing can be said of firms such as Anglo-American and De Beers along with retailers like Pick n’ Pay, Clicks, Edgars and others. The Apartheid government didn’t give business owners money, then said “Go forth and get rich, but don’t forget to kick something back” like the ANC have done with Cyril Ramaphosa, Tokyo Sexwale and others. No, White people built and worked for what they have, and that is the real, true story. Unfortunately, blacks don’t see it this way. They say white people are here illegally (even though they’re born here and their families have been in the country for generations) while neglecting to mention that Zulus and Xhosas are themselves migrants from Central Africa (and got here at about the same time as the Europeans) who dispossessed of land the local Khoikhoi, San tribes and others, and they bleat about how the evil whites have stolen everything from the poor, suffering black people. Nonsense. There were no roads here until the Dutch, Portuguese and English arrived. No harbours, railways, airports, mines or towns. Hell, the black tribes living in what is today South Africa hadn’t even developed the wheel or writing by the time they met their future nemesis, and it was the early European explorers, Jesuit or Anglican missionaries and British settlers of the 1820s who dragged those backward ignoramuses into civilised life. Was it nice? No. Did it go smoothly and painlessly? Hell no. What happened? Well, only what usually happens when those with rifles meet those with spears- but how the hell can Jan Smit (or John Smith) who was born in 1980 be blamed for it?
Crime, in so far as we’re talking about murder, rape, armed robbery and Cash-in-Transit heists, is pretty much reported by the media as it happened, but as one would expect, with special emphasis on and coverage of whatever is more gruesome or sophisticated in a way that will get readers and viewers more interested than the one or two paragraphs about the antics of some purse snatchers. What journalists do not do is to state the races of perpetrator(s) and victim(s), unless the incident is somehow race-related. In that regard, what usually happens is the journalists will identify the suburb in which the crime happened and if allowed to by law, give the name of the victim. If the perpetrator is caught, then he or she is named after appearing in court to be charged, and the area where he lives or was caught might be mentioned. This leaves the readers to draw their own conclusions and keeps journalists’ hands clean of the issue of race. Another thing that happens is what the South African Police Service does when it comes to collecting statistical information about crime. Just about everything in South Africa involves race and gender. Government departments and private sector companies over a certain size and revenue turnover keep track of the race and gender of their employees, along with their position in the organisational hierarchy. The data gathered by the private sector is usually forwarded to government’s Labour Department, and government departments in turn report their figures to the parliamentary committees which oversee them. Thus it happened in 2015 that the South African National Defence Force (actually it’s a Farce) got smacked severely by the parliamentary portfolio committee on defence for not having enough whites in the ranks over the preceding five years or more. No surprise, considering how badly whites are treated in the SANDF. Parliament threatened to cut the budget if the Employment Equity statistics were not remedied, and the military put out the word in a hurry. Whites hit the recruitment and processing centres in a big way. I was among those who applied, though due to some problems (very long story) I could not return to the army. So, this being South Africa, one would think the SAPS keep track of the race and gender of perpetrator and victim, and such data would be found in the annual crime statistics. Well, they don’t, and they also do not explain why that is. The only way to find out something is to physically comb through the case files of every police station in the country, court cases and pay walls of newspaper articles, an effort which is beyond the resources of most people and organisations. Even if someone was going to try, that person would have another problem- many cases are thrown out of court for all sorts of reasons and pretty much disappear after that, assuming they don’t get lost accidentally or “accidentally on purpose”. Therefore, unless SAPS together with the departments of Justice and Corrections start compiling such statistics, whatever anyone else will come up with is bound to be extremely vague and even more open to challenge than the cops’ annual attempt to lie about the crime situation in this country. Remember this, dear readers, because it will come up later.
Another thing the government does not do, is to keep track of the numbers, race and gender of South African citizens who emigrate, along with their reasons for leaving. It wouldn’t take much, just to fill in a short multiple choice questionnaire and then for the government to compile the data. The problem is twofold. First, TIA- This Is Africa. Around here, government employees want to get paid, not to work. This is especially true of Home Affairs, the government department which does passport control at ports of entry. Second, it’s about politics. The African National Congress (ANC, or Another National Corruption as we call it) has built its reputation on fighting against racism, sexism and so on. Quite frankly, it never tires of telling people that, but one would only have to take a superficial look at their track record since the party’s founding to see it’s a lie. Although it has members of all races, the party actively promotes only the blacks’ agenda (not one president or general secretary was anything other than black- um, I recently heard Sol Plaatje, the first ANC general secretary, was in fact black instead of coloured), is sexist (no woman has ever held supreme party leadership) and as evidenced by what’s coming out at the Zondo Commission, massively corrupt to boot. Worse, while it went on about Apartheid, the Land Act, Group Areas Act and other laws, the ANC passed legislation such as Affirmative Action, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, Employment Equity, and is now in the process of passing the so-called Expropriation Bill- laws which encourage and seek to entrench black male supremacy in government and private sector spheres of activity while they turn White people into social lepers who are about to be robbed of the land they own. But just imagine what would happen if the myth of ANC non-racism and non-sexism was ever exposed, especially by statistics which show that the bulk of emigrants are White and they’re leaving because of how they and their children are being discriminated against by the ANC and the government it leads…
Dear readers, what you have to understand is this: before and after the elections of 1994, the National Party and the ANC negotiated the social, political and economic order of post-Apartheid South Africa. The basic story is that blacks got politics and whites got the economy. Though I’m sure the NP knew it was going to happen, this arrangement had the effect of turning whites into silent cash cows while the blacks strutted on the red carpet at every opening of parliament and stole money meant to uplift the majority of the country. The thing is, ever since when Thabo Mbeki became president in 1999, whites have been increasingly marginalised, brutalised, murdered, raped and robbed while they tried and still try to keep this country going. What the blacks have been doing for the last 20 years has had a negative impact on economic prosperity and stability, so the whites began to tell them to stop fucking around. The problem with that was the blacks were changing the deal made at CODESA and after the 1994 elections- now they wanted the economy too. Hell, that’s not all, they want EVERYTHING. The blacks didn’t listen. What’s worse, they attacked and undermined the whites’ political and social leadership. If you don’t believe me, just look at how AWB leader Eugene Terre’ Blanche was portrayed as having a homosexual affair with one of the black workers who killed him, and Helen Zille was made out to be a raving racist just because she tweeted about going to Singapore, a former colonial outpost of the British empire. Furthermore, even though only rarely said outright, the blacks basically told and still tell the whites “Shut up, white man!” This has happened many times, but the most recent was during the public submissions part of hearings on the Expropriation Bill, where ANC and EFF members of parliament are known to have told whites who pleaded for this bill to be scrapped, things along the lines of “It doesn’t matter what you say, we’re going to do what we want anyway”, never mind the recorded utterances of blacks who threatened to start a war if land (along with buildings and other farm infrastructure, of course) was not confiscated from the whites and given to them instead.
