This past Saturday, June 15th, the ShieldWall Network held another successful meeting in central Arkansas in honor of Father’s Day. A raffle with many prizes (books, CDs, survivalist seeds, flags) and an auction of a handmade wall hanging were held as a fundraiser to benefit White political prisoners, and plenty of free literature was passed out. Affiliates from Mississippi, Louisiana, and throughout Tennessee were present, as well as from every corner of Arkansas. Several new people attended for the first time, and the SWN was happy to meet them and their families.
About thirty old and new friends gathered on secure private property in central Arkansas, despite many others being otherwise occupied with the holiday on the Father’s Day weekend. Those who attended honored the Fathers among them, as well, in particular those with the most and the youngest children, but all of the dads present received a gift.
After the ShieldWall Network meeting covering both old and new business, everyone had a chance for camaraderie and fellowship, sharing ideas and building friendships IRL. Many stayed for several hours after the formal meeting ended to continue their conversations.
Our generous host grilled hamburgers, and everyone brought sides to add to add to the potluck lunch outside on the beautiful summer day. Afterwards, there were several desserts to share. Interactive discussions of gardening and animal husbandry preceded a detailed hands-on seminar in horsemanship from the ground, horse included, up as a part of the ShieldWall Network’s continual prepping initiative.
